Our company is looking for a seasoned Senior Web Developer that will be a part of our team, tasked with developing various business solutions for large organisations like Banks and Universities. Some of the responsibilities include: Leading a team of junior developers, refining web application specifications and resolving technical issues. To be successful in this role, you should have extensive experience building web applications from scratch and in-depth knowledge of one of the following programming languages: PHP or Python.
Requirements:
Please ensure that you qualify the following, in regards to:
- Experience: At least 3-year experience in web development
- Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of PHP or Python and have a good understanding of JavaScript.
- Skills:
- You must have experience with at least one SQL Database such as MySQL/PostgreSQL/SQL Server, etc.
- Additionally, knowledge of NoSQL databases, like MongoDB, will be considered as an advantage.
- A good understanding of version control (Git), PHP Frameworks (preferably Laravel) or Python Frameworks (preferably Django).
Knowledge of any additional programming languages or other skills will be considered an advantage. Also, you need to be able to provide a portfolio of previous works upon request.

Responsibilities:
As a Darkpony's web development team member, you will create products and applications that meet clients' needs. You'll be responsible for:
- Writing well designed, testable, efficient code in one or more languages, such as PHP, Python or JavaScript.
- Planning and prototyping new applications
- Testing sites and applications in different browsers and environments
- Fixing bugs in existing projects as well as solving problems that may appear
- Running performance benchmarks and locating possible optimisation paths.
- Building and testing APIs
- Collaborating with designers, developers and other team members
- Researching new trends and advancements in web development
- Attending meetings to gather requirements from clients and users
